Yea, I didn't think so! Maybe I'll take a picture of the temp in January and see if it makes me feel better.
L.J. has already started applying for apprenticeships and it's looking more and more likely that we'll be moving out of state. At first I was nervous about this but now I'm starting to like the idea of this being my last Phoenix summer for awhile.
APS, the main electrical power company in AZ will probably hire about 10 men. SRP may hire some too but there are 30 men in the class. We need to be open to the idea of moving and give him more options for work. The company he has already applied for is based in Oregon and also covers Washington, Montana and Idaho. I could handle this because it's much cooler weather and still close enough to drive here in the winter. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds.
In the mean time, we'll wait out the heat for another month or so. I can't wait for Halloween to put on a long sleeve shirt and jeans!
Moving out of state has been the hardest, yet most rewarding thing I've done. I vote for Idaho. We'll be here for 4 more years! And it's a gorgeous 70* right now.
