Luke is going to Preschool

I had been going back and forth with myself over weather or not to put Luke in preschool this year. I really wanted to because both Ally & Emily went to preschool when they were 3 years old and I wanted to do the same for him. I was struggling with the idea because our finances are different now and with L.J. going back to school we weren't really sure if he was going to be able to keep his job (so far so good). We've been cutting back on everything we can and preschool didn't fit into the Need category.

I had pretty much decided that waiting until he was 4 wasn't going to be the worst thing in the world. Besides he has already known for a long time his letters, numbers, shapes, & colors. What more could anyone teach him, right? Then I find out that my sister, Theresa was starting a preschool and she really wanted Luke to be a part of it. My mom offered to help with the tuition so that Luke can go and it will help build her enrollment too.

Luke LOVES going!!! It's Tuesdays & Thursdays and he would be thrilled if it was EVERY DAY! He loves getting dressed in the mornings and getting his back pack on just like the big girls do. Here we are on the first day of Preschool. He is so handsome!

They've been doing some really cute craft projects and this one was his favorite. It's a school bus made out of Twinkies & gummy lifesavers. He didn't even want to eat it.

Now he's starting to WRITE his letters already and spell words. He really is SO smart and I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom. He's amazing me how fast he is learning everything. Now if I can just get him to use the potty chair! That's a whole different story. I knew boys would be slower to potty train than girls and I'm trying to be patient with him. Nothing is working, we've tried candy & gum, sticker charts, rewards, etc. He just doesn't want to. And I would rather clean up his mess in a diaper than all over the floor, couch, & clothes. So we're waiting.....patiently. :)
