Better late than never??
The story of my life right now. When I got back from North Carolina I had less than a week to pull five costumes together. We did the best we could and I think it all turned out fine. We went to a party at the church on Saturday evening and then stayed home on Sunday. We only had one set of tricker treaters all night.
Ruby’s first Halloween.
Lyla was THRILLED to have a new crown to go with her favorite dress.
Luke was actually Darth Vader for his preschool Halloween party but then we had a costume breakdown on Saturday. We knew he couldn’t wear his mask for the church party so I had bought some costume makeup to have his face look like Darth Vader’s real face. Well, I am no artist and Ally did her best to try and help but it just looked bad. Really bad. He didn’t like it at all and was getting upset. We still had his Superman costume from last year and luckily it still fit!
Ally has been studying King Arthur & the Renaissance time period at school so when we saw this costume at Saver’s, she was happy. I guess the color purple meant royalty back then. I’m not sure why the grey converse shoes but that’s what she wanted.
Emily told me one day that she and Melanie had decided to be matching Lego’s this year. All I could think about was, “How are we going to pull this off?” Luckily, Dean & Tracy (Melanie’s parents) are much more creative that I! They made both costumes and they were adorable!!
They had so many nice compliments from everyone at the party and won an award too.
Several people asked me what my costume was. My reply: I am a mother with FIVE kids. Worn out and sleep deprived.
I LOVE the legos. Gonna have to seriously consider that for my boys next year (matching set, cute, right?!)
