On November 7th we were able to have Ruby’s special Blessing day at church. We were excited to have a day to celebrate having Ruby a part of our family.
Her beautiful quilt was made by her great-grandmother, Charlotte Crandell. Granny has made so many of these special quilts and I love that each of my kids have one of their very own from her.
We were lucky to have so many family members able to attend her blessing. Here are the Browns:

After Sacrament Meeting everyone came over to the house for lunch. We took a few more pictures before getting Ruby out of her white dress. Here she is with Grandma Brown:

Ruby is a sweet baby and very happy too. She is such a blessing to us!
For lunch we decided to have a good ol’ North Carolina BBQ complete with coleslaw, collard greens, & hush puppies. L.J. is our Google Master so he found a BBQ recipe to try. It turned out perfect! I thought that with 15 pounds of shredded pork we’d have plenty of left overs even with our large group but there was very little left. The hush puppies were snatched up as soon as they hit the plate. Everyone seemed to enjoy everything and we were happy to have so much family together for our sweet Ruby!
Sounds like a great day. Your group is sure growing, year by year! Ruby's dress and blanket are so beautiful!
