It's been awhile since I posted anything about our Isagenix weight loss trial. There hasn't been that much to share and I've been really busy with the holidays. LJ has lost 14 pounds and he is really happy about that. I've been up and down a lot and pretty much have only lost 6 pounds. I guess it's good to say that I've lost anything considering what time of year it is but I was hoping for more than this. I could loose 6 pounds in 3 weeks if I just got my rear end in gear and exercised regularly. Honestly I'm having a really hard time with the 2 shakes and only 1 meal a day. The shakes don't taste that bad but they're not something I crave either. I still get so hungry and I just want to eat anything. I try to be sensible with what I do eat at least. Cleansing once a week isn't too bad actually but I'm tired of going to bed with my stomach growling. I can't help but think "all of this for only 6 pounds?"
I'm not trying to discredit Isagenix. It seems to be a good product but I don't think it's a miracle product. There isn't a miracle product out there. Just hard work and patience is all that's needed. After the 30 days are over, we're going onto a maintenance program with only 1 shake a day and cleansing 2 times a month. I think that will work better for me. In the long run, I may have better results.
Isagenix is all about providing the body with the nutrients it needs to function properly. Once the body can function properly, it will release the toxins and extra weight. I still do believe this because I've seen it help so many people.
In the promo material they talk about Isagenix giving you more energy and mental clarity. Honestly I haven't found this to be true. I can slightly tell a little more energy but it could also be that Lyla is finally sleeping through the night (YEA!) and I'm getting more sleep too. The other day we were moving furniture around in our house and I got so disoriented. I couldn't figure out where things should go and starting crying. It just seemed so overwhelming. I felt silly for getting so upset over nothing. LJ asked me what was wrong and all I could say was, "I'm just so hungry." This wasn't the first time I had a breakdown either.
Food is all I can thing about and that's really not like me. LJ says that he doesn't crave sweets anymore and he is full with only 1 serving of food now where he used to eat and eat until everything was gone. For some reason I'm not feeling the same.
I'm not giving up, but I am looking forward to not being consumed with a diet. This is the first real diet I've ever tried so I'm probably being a baby about the whole thing. I will still use the Isagenix products to help my body be healthier and I will be more careful about what I do eat and how much. I did order some new running shoes with an after Christmas sale online and I will get myself exercising more this new year. I am still going to loose this weight!
Well, every diet works for SOMEONE and obviously, LJ has found his. I totally get your pain--all that work for 6 pounds? I so understand!! Sure, 6 pounds is great, but you pretty much lost that your first couple of days! I'd suggest trying something else for you for the long run.
ReplyDeleteDon't get too discouraged about losing the weight (you don't look like you have too much more to lose). I agree with your friend, though, sometimes diets work for some people and not for others. Plus, guys always lose more weight than women. I do weight watchers online and I have loved it. It's slow going to lose weight, but well worth it because it seems to stay off--so far I've lost 22 pounds and only have 9 more until goal, so it definitley works if you do look for another option.....but really, you look awesome!
