We’re Ready!

Headline on AzCentral today: 

Valley temperature hits 111 in another record-breaking day.  The Valley typically stops reaching the 110-degree mark in the month of August.

Oh yes, I am ready for this summer to end!!!

I’m also ready for this pregnancy to end and luckily my due date is this Thursday, the 23rd!
Since finding out that we were going to have another girl, I knew I didn’t have to do too much or get too many things to be ready for her.  So I decided that the few things that I did need would be fun and exactly what I wanted.  My baby gear has always been kind of boring very gender neutral, in hopes of using it for both boys & girls.  In coming to terms with having another girl, I decided I was going to go all girl!

First, a cute wipes box.  Definitely not a necessity but still so fun.  I do have a habit of leaving these places or mixing them up with other Mom’s so maybe this one can help me hang on to it.  Plus, it’s much cuter to carry in and out of church when you have to make a quick diaper change.


Next, a stylish diaper bag.  Not the typical black vinyl bag they give you at the hospital this time.  Since this will also be my purse for the next year or so, I wanted to have something that I would enjoy carrying around.  I love it!

And finally a car seat fit for a princess!  This is still the same old car seat, just with a new cover.  I ordered it from someone on etsy.com and it looks perfect! 


L.J. even got excited about this one and said he wouldn’t mind carrying it around.  We all know I’ll be the one carrying it 90% of the time but that’s OK.  I would think with a seat like this, I shouldn’t get any questions about whether she’s a girl or a boy, right?

So that’s it, we are officially ready for baby girl #4.  Her name is not yet decided but I have a feeling L.J. has narrowed it down and may even have a favorite.  I think he wants to tell her what it is first so everyone else will just have to wait.  :-)
