Princess Lyla

It’s official…. Lyla has fallen in love with the Disney Princesses.  I knew it was only a matter of time and she has fallen hard!  She only wants to eat off of her Princess plate or bowl, watch her favorite princess movies, and she LOVES one particular Sunday dress because, “I look like a princess.”

This week I was looking for a few last minute things for the new baby and I was shopping at a kids resale store by my house.  I decided to take a look at their Halloween costumes just to see if I’d get lucky & find anything we could use.

There it was…. a size 2/3 Princess Aurora dress and for only $8!  How could I resist?  I brought it home and washed it before letting her see it.  I even let Dad be the one to give it to her & take the credit.  Her little hands went right up to her cheeks and her mouth dropped wide open.  She was instantly in love and said, “I want to put it on!”

It even spins just like Aurora’s real dress.  This was Wednesday and she has worn it constantly ever since.  I am surprised we’re able to talk her out of it at night & put her pj’s on.  Then first thing in the morning she has to have it right back.

I hope it lasts until Halloween but if not, at least she’s having fun with it.  Yesterday in Wal-mart, she had the attention of everyone who walked by.  She told everyone she was Princess Aurora and then started calling me Princess Jasmine.  She’s such a silly girl & we love our Princess Lyla.
