Halloween '09

Halloween 2009 was a success! All four kids had a great weekend and now we have way too much candy in our house. We started with the Trunk or Treat party at the church on Friday night. Then Saturday we tricker treated to a few houses in our neighborhood first, then went over to Dean & Tracy's house to walk around with their kids. Here are the pictures from all the activities.

Emily was Hermione from Harry Potter.

Lyla was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

Luke was Superman.

Luke and Lyla were too cute!

Ally was a gypsy pirate.

OK, so Saturday morning LJ was finally able to give Luke a haircut. It was soooo needed!
Even Superman has to stay in touch!

This is Lyla's new trick. She did not want to take a picture right then.

Now's she's ready...... can we say DIVA???

Now we're ready to hit the streets.

Here's the cousins group picture. Jamie on top was a cheerleader wearing Tracy's high school cheerleading outfit. Carson was Batman and Melanie was Dorothy too.

Carson wanted me to take a picture of him all by himself. This one's for you Carson.

Carrying this much candy is tough, even for Superman!

Luke is such a sweet big brother!

It was such a nice evening we sat outside while the kids sorted through their loot. We also had a DVD player & projector showing Halloween cartoons on the garage door. The kids loved it.

Well, one holiday down and 3 more to go for the season. I love this time of year even though it's super busy. Now that the costumes are done I can focus on getting coordinating outfits together for next week's Brown family pictures. Looking forward to that one. Then the next weekend LJ's youngest sister, Katie is getting married (more outfits for everyone). It sounds silly even as I'm typing it and L.J. would definatly say "a waste of time" but I'm the mom and it's my job. With 6 people to take care of, someone is always needing something.
For Thanksgiving we're going to attempt to install the wood flooring in our house in Heber. So much going on, so many future blog posts. :)

  1. Everyone looks great! Lyla is such a doll. We should get Emily and Sean together--Sean was Harry Potter. :)
