Kyle & Katie Kartchner ~ November 13, 2009

Most everyone knows L.J. is the oldest of 9 kids.  We were married almost 15 years ago and this past weekend his youngest sister, Katie was the last one to get married.

Even though Katie is technically my sister-in-law, I think of her as my little sister too.  I’ve been around the Crandell’s long enough to remember her starting school, getting baptized, raising animals in 4-H, learning to drive, going to Prom’s, and be the best babysitter anyone could ever ask for.  She was my right-hand when we had our ice cream shop in Heber and I never had to worry about a thing.  She always had me covered.  My kids adore her and she’s a perfect example for my girls to look up to.  We were so happy to see her married in the Snowflake Temple to a worthy and handsome young man!

The wedding was perfect except for the weather.  It was a little cold….well actually it was A LOT cold and rainy but we got a few pictures and had fun celebrating in doors.  Her colors were black & white with accents of rustic red & fall yellow.   I loved the combinations.  For my girls dresses we were very lucky because Emily & Lyla could wear ones we already had.  I only had to get a dress for Ally and I found the cutest little black suit for Luke.  He was so handsome!

I wish we had gotten more pictures and I wish the ones we did get had turned out better but while we were enjoying the day, we did the best we could.  It was raining when we left for Snowflake so I took a few pictures of the kids inside.

Here are the better pictures from the exciting day:

We can’t have a Crandell wedding without dancing!  L.J. will always be the family DJ!

Looks like we’ve got a bunch of party girls on our hands!

Luke, Rigdon & Graham weren’t interested in dancing.  They had fun behind the back drop playing with a ball.

The reception was a lot of fun and Ally even caught the bouquet!  I’ll have to get that picture from the photographer though, I was out changing Lyla’s diaper.  From what I understand she caught some pretty good air getting it.

A beautiful wedding for a beautiful girl!  We love you Katie!!!!!

  1. You guys all look SO good! Hard to believe how fast the kids are growing up. What a gorgeous bride too--I know it was cold, but I'm sure they were warm in love. :) Amanda, love your hair~!
