Meet the Crandells

OK, I have officially become a blogger! I honestly didn't think I'd ever have time for this but I'm jumping on the bandwagon and going to give it a try. This posting is going to be introducing my family.

First off I have to say I was 8 months pregnant when this picture was taken so please excuse the swollen face. I really like this picture anyway. L.J. and I met in 1994 at a dance. He was the DJ of course! My friend Tamara and I went to this dance and when we got there we realized we were one of the first ones there. We were imberresed but then Tamara peeks her head in and said, "Let's go talk to the DJ, he's cute." We've been together ever since and we were married on February 25, 1995. We're very close to celebrating our 14th anniversary and that seems crazy to me. I'm not old enough to have been married that long! They haven't been the easiest years but they were worth it. I can honestly say that we are more in love today than when we got married!

This is Ally. She's 10 years old and in the 5th Grade. She loves to read, read, and then read some more! She started the Harry Potter series in January and finished the last book just a few weeks ago. She's also read the Fableheaven series this year (and loved it too) along with several other very large books. She inspired me to start reading again so I decided to pick up that Twilight book everyone was talking about. That's another story........

She also plays the piano and is doing very well at school. She's a big help to me with her little brother and sister. She's growing up way too fast and luckily still likes to hang out with the boys as friends rather than anything else.

This is Emily. She's 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. She's my right hand man in the kitchen and loves to help me do anything! Her teacher at school tells me the same thing and that Emily loves to help the other kids when she is done with her own work. She is very social and has lots of friends. She's the typical young girl who loves Hannah Montana & anything else Disney. She already has a shoe & purse collection that is growing way too fast! She also plays the piano and actually loves to do her practicing. She is always playing something and filling our home with beautiful music.

This is Luke. He is 2 years old. What can I say about Luke? He is the cutest, sweetest, funniest, smartest, craziest little boy ever and he is always making us laugh! He is very social and knows all the names of his counsins, aunts, uncles and friends that he plays with. When people come to our door he gets so excited to answer it. He'll usually say something like, "Well hi (their name), come on in!" When we're out shopping people usually smile at him and say hello. Now he's started waving and he'll say, "Have a good day!" as we walk by. Everyone smiles when they are around Luke. He has such a fun personality.

One thing Luke is very well known for is his "eyebrows" trick. When he was smaller the girls were asking him things like, "Where's your eyes?" or "Where's your nose?" I'm not sure how he knew about his eyebrows but he started moving them up and down and we all cracked up. Once he realized he could get that kind of reaction out of us, he would do it over and over again. The girls would get him to show off to anyone who would watch and now people are always coming up to him asking where his eyebrows are. Here's a short video. Thanks to the Crouse family for sending this to me. I laugh every time I look at it.

This is Lyla, our sweetest miracle. She was born on April 2nd and we are so blessed to have her in our family. She is such a good baby and is very easy going and happy. She gets lots of attention and is usually being held by someone so she hasn't started crawling yet. That's actually just fine with me because I know all too well what happens when babies become mobile. If I could just get her to sleep through the night.....

OK - this post is a lot longer than I had thought it would be. I'll just show a few more family pictures that I love.

Thanks for visitng my Blog!
