Making Gingerbread Houses

When we came home from Williams we unpacked, did some last minute Christmas errands and then repacked and headed to Heber. We were able to spend a few days there with the family. Grandma Crandell was brave and made Gingerbread houses with all the kids. We started with the already-made-prepackaged houses to save time. It's well worth it! Add lots of bags of candy and everyone had a good time.

Luke was always trying to sneak a piece of candy.

Chealynne, Emily & Trayton decorated this house all by themselves, no adult help needed. It looks great!
Grandma, Kamryn & Ally made theirs to look as close as possible to the picture on the box. It is very pretty!
This picture is one of my favorites. After all was said and done and everyone left the kitchen, I found Luke in there with a little toy Gingerbread man he had gotten out of Grandma's toy box. I think it was a McDonald's toy from the movie Shrek. Anyway, he was introducing the little man to his new house that we had made for him. He is such a cutie!!
