My FIVE Kids

Here are some pictures of my FIVE kids (still hard to believe I have that many) and a couple other random things.

One last picture of Ruby in the hospital.  I thought it was so funny to see an alarm on her, just like items in a department store.  Always good to be cautious these days, I’m sure.

Lyla LOVES her baby sister!

We had a really good hail storm at the house the other day.  I was actually at Fry’s and thought the roof was going to cave in any minute.  The checker told me her windshield was crushed.  I only had a couple of small dings in my hood, nothing to worry about but trying to get home there were trees down everywhere!  L.J. & the girls took these pictures and then put some hail in the freezer to show me when I got home.

We had our annual Primary Program at church on Sunday.  The kids were wonderful of course!  This was Luke’s first and he was especially good sitting still on the stand and singing all of the songs.  His favorite is Follow the Prophet and he put all of his energy into that song.  There was no question he knew every word and loved to sing the chorus.  I have to admit I got a little emotional seeing him up there in his cute black suit & yellow tie.  He is growing up so fast!

I tried to get a nice picture of all FIVE of them dressed up but Luke, being the wonderful boy that he is, stripped out of his suit the second he walked in the door and wouldn’t stop for a picture.  Here are the girls.

Now a few individual shots with baby Ruby.

And finally, all FIVE kids.

Some other exciting news….  I finally got the lump removed from my eye!!!  I was able to see another ocular plastic surgeon and she took a completely different approach.

She said that telling me this was skin cancer was very premature given my age and where it was located, especially without doing any biopsy.  Since it needed to be removed anyway, she said let’s do that first and then have it tested.  If it’s negative then the whole thing is over with.  IF it’s positive then I’ll come back and we’ll do more work.  I took one last picture since it had continued to grow after the last one.  (please don’t judge my no-makeup look, couldn’t wear any for the procedure.)

The whole procedure was so easy!  Right in the office I laid back in a chair and she gave me a couple of shots to numb the area (just like going to the dentist).  That pinch was the worst part and then I didn’t feel a thing.  Actually, the worst part was hearing the “snip, snip” from the tools she was using to cut it off but that didn’t last long.  The area scabbed over and I was a little swollen the next day but it already looks so much better!  I lost a few eye lashes so there is a little gap there right now but they will grow back.  The results should be here next week.

That’s about it for now!

  1. Great pics! I think it's fun that they seriously all look so different! I know there are reasons for that, but it sure makes them all look like little individuals. :) And yippeee for getting your eye taken care of! Finally! I'm sure you are so relieved to have that done and over with.
