He was so excited to go to our friend Jenny's house and swim! Every day we'd walk through the gate and he'd yell "Hi Jenny!" His cute deep voice and the way he said Jenny reminded me of Forest Gump. It was more like " Hi Jen-nay" Every night he asked if he could go back to Jenny's house in the morning. He loved it!

Ally & Emily took a diving class this summer. They learned front & back dives and had a lot of fun too. This is how Luke, Lyla & I stayed cool at the high school pool during their class. It's a personal mister and Luke LOVED being in charge of it and spraying me & Lyla. In 110+ degrees, it felt really good and dried quickly!

Here's Emily diving. She really got the hang of it. :)
Here's Ally diving......... :)
OK, now who do you think taught Lyla this fun new trick??? At 15 months she is already FULL OF SAS!

She has enough hair for pig tails!! Lyla has, by far, more hair at her age than the other girls. We're not sure why but we're loving it! Just this afternoon I had all 4 kids with me at Costco (I hardly ever do that but it couldn't be avoided today) and the lady at the sample table whispered to me, "I don't want to say this in front of your other girls but she (pointing to Lyla) has the best hair." I smiled & said "thank you". I wasn't sure what else to say. To their defense Ally & Emily had curls too when they were younger but both straighted out at about age 4. We'll just have to wait & see for Lyla.
This is her giving me the "you're taking too many pictures Mom!" look.

Luke has started a new game. He likes to jump in front of the camera when I'm taking a picture. Then he'll say, "Can I see it mom?" He's so proud of himself when he gets in.
He said, "that's a good one" when he saw the next picture. He's a boy...gotta love it!
Here's my cute niece, Laurel....
Luke & Lyla had fun in the kiddie playground.

Her cute bows were made by Aunt Mandi. :) Mandi makes adorable bows and has started a business, Little Treasures Bowtique @ http://littletreasuresbowtique.com Check it out!
Ally decided to try and play volleyball this summer. She liked it and did pretty well. Flying balls at my head was never my thing but Ally likes sports and has pretty much tried them all. That's one thing about Ally that I admire, she's never afraid to try something new even by herself. She didn't know anyone else on the team before the season started but that didn't stop her.

We got to go to Chuck E Cheese for Katelynn's birthday. Always a fun time for the kids!

Crazy, crazy & more crazy, that's our way of life right now. So much going on, I just try to keep up with these fun kids. Next post will show us getting ready for school!!! My favorite time of year! Ha Ha!

Ally is so grown up...wow, can hardly believe it. Love the pig tails and so cool about the diving classes! My little one is the same as Luke in jumping in front of the camera and wanting to see!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I'm a tad bit jealous that Lyla's hair is long enough for pig tails. Jordynn's is just not quite there yet. Ally and Emily are growing WAY to fast. Good luck with volley ball and diving!
