Old Tucson Studios

In June we went on a Crandell family trip to Old Tucson Studios. Six of LJ's eight syblings were there with spouces, kids and Grandma & Grandpa. We were quite the group! Tucson is a couple of hours south of Phoenix. This old western studio has been here for 70 years now and tons of movies have been filmed here. Their motto is "Arizona's Hollywood in the Desert."



They had lots of shows and rides for the kids. In one of the shows LJ's brother Andrew and brother-in-law Colby were pulled from the audience and dressed as can can girls.

In another show LJ was pulled up and sung to. He really enjoyed that!

Here's Ally & Luke posing with a couple of the actors. These two were REALLY funny. The guy on the right reminded us of a Hispanic Adam Sandler.

Someone was filming a kids travel show that day. Earlier in the day we had to be really quite while they filmed a scene. You try telling 18 kids and 15 adults to keep quite....it was not easy. Then they put some of the kids in the show & gave them a line to all say at the same time. I have no idea what the show was for so we'll probably never see it but they had fun.

In the restaurant the kids had fun posing on the horse statue. Lyla is a natural!

There was a good old fashioned shoot out too.

We had a really good time. If you ever get the chance to go there I would say it's worth it, especially for the kids. They were entertained for the entire day and the staff were all extremely friendly.
