Visiting Grandma & Grandpa Brown

Right after New Years we took the kids down to St. David, AZ to visit my grandparents. We don't do this often enough! We are very lucky to still have both of them here and I'm so happy that my kids are able to have so many memories with them. Once I got home I realized that I didn't get a picture with them. I wish I was better at remembering to do that. This picture was taken in September at Grandma Brown's 90th birthday party so luckily it's not that old. It's our 4 generation picture with both Grandma, Grandpa, my Dad, me & Lyla.

My grandparents live on a farm and the kids immediately went to see the animals. I was surprised to see Ally fall in love with the chickens. We had to pull her out of the pen when it was time to go. Here's a clip of her trying to catch one.

Ally & her new best friend. I love how the chicken is posing too!

Luke liked to pet the chickens too as long as they were holding still. Uncle Dean is helping him out here.

Uncle Mark's family also lives on the farm and he has built quite the back yard for kids to have lots of fun! Who would have ever thought of planting a boat in the dirt in the middle of a desert? All you need is a little imagination, right? Emily & Melanie spent most of their time here sailing the open sea and traveling to fun places.

Melanie is King of the World too!
