A Glimpse

Since I am constantly trying to keep this blog current, here is another post to catch up and give a glimpse of what has been going on in our lives lately.

Ruby has hit the very fun stage of getting into everything!

Luke has learned to ride his bike without training wheels!  It only took an hour or so with Dad and he was off and never looked back.

Ally was able to play on the volleyball team at school.  The girls had a rocky start but they worked hard and improved tremendously.  Ally is now serving over-handed consistently and not afraid to dive for a ball.

Emily has always wanted to learn to play the violin.  Her new school has an orchestra but all of the other kids started their instruments in the 5th grade.  She knew she'd have to catch up but that didn't stop her.  She practices faithfully every day.  It's only been a few months but she is right there with everyone else.

Ruby LOVES it when Daddy comes home!

Enjoying her first birthday cake.

Halloween 2011 consisted of five different parties plus tricker-treating that night.  I only got individual pictures this year as each went to their own activity.  Ally was a cute fairy.

Emily was a 50's girl.  She asked Grandma to make her a skirt and she looked perfect.

Luke had a hard time deciding this year but had fun being a mummy.

Lyla was Rapunzel from the movie Tangled.

She even had her own Rapunzel hair.  So adorable!

We had a debate whether Ruby was a cat or a lamb.  We're not really sure because there wasn't a tag on the costume.  It was cute and warm and that's all that matters.

Just a cute random picture from about a month ago.

At 14 months she is finally walking!!!

Had our first big snow storm last night & today.  Measured over 12 inches of snow in our front yard.  School was canceled making it our first ever snow day.  Made chocolate chip waffles and kept warm.

That's about it.  I can never document as much as I'd like to.  Life keeps happening and I just try to keep up.

  1. You're doing great with your updates! Way to go Ally on volleyball and Emily on violin--so cool! In Ally's Halloween picture, she looks like you with her hair pulled back! I'd never noticed how much you guys look alike before. :)

  2. I hear you about keeping up! I am constantly behind on my blog, but I keep plugging away because I know I will be grateful later. It's fun to see your new life in northern AZ! :)
