Best Valentine's Day Ever

BEST Valentine present ever:

(While riding in the car)

Luke: "Mom?"

Me: "What?"

Luke: "Oh nothing, I'm just glad you're my mom."

I LOVE THIS KID!!


 
This year I received several fun cards from the kids made at school, Primary & on their own.  Emily put together a vase with strips of paper curled inside it.  Each strip had a cute message for me like, "You're the best Mom" or "I love you".  It was so sweet.
 
 
A few weeks ago I took Lyla & Ruby to get their pictures taken again.  I know I'm crazy for a good portrait.  A friend of mine who is a photographer was doing a mini photo shoot special for Valentines Day and I thought, "why not?"  Ruby has already changed so much since Christmas and I really wanted to try again with Lyla.  She has such beautiful eyes and I didn't feel like I had a picture that captured that yet.
 
Lyla was still shy and although Ruby was awake this time, she did not feel the need to smile very much right then.  Of course when we got home she was all smiles for Daddy.  Why didn't I think to bring him along?
