Random Pictures & Catch Up Time

Wow! I have so many pictures on my camera I want to post. I think we're going back to some time in April here so I'll try to just hit the highlights:

Emily was in a play at school. She was an owl named "Hoot Gibson".

Every nursery kid has the plant a seed and watch it grow lesson. At first Luke was a little scared that the plant changed so much but then he got excited about it. He did a good job taking care of it.

Luke LOVES trains! We saw these tracks and he wanted to stop and see the train. We waited for awhile but it didn't come by while we where there. A quick funny story.... the other day we were down town and we heard a train whistle. Luke said, "Mom, I hear a train! Where is it?" I said, "I don't know where the train is." Then Luke said, "Mom, it's by the tracks." Well, duh Mom!

One weekend we took a last minute road trip to Legoland, CA. LJ had to work so it was just me with Luke, Ally & Emily. We left Lyla with a friend to make the trip a little easier for me. We met up with Dean & Theresa and their families. The kids had a blast!

All of the characters are made out of real Legos.

This Darth Vader actually made the breathing sound effects. Unfortunately Luke would have nothing to do with him.

This was as close as we could get him for a picture.
All the kids: Carson, Katelyn, Emily, Luke, Ally, Jamie & Melanie.

After this Luke said, "Mom, let's go see the hieroglyphics." I was shocked he knew a word like hieroglyphics and how to use it. Good thing for the Little Einstein videos.

I've never been one for wanting to go on the fast roller coasters and Luke & Carson weren't quite tall enough so the three of us hung out together.

Finally a ride for Luke. He was so excited to fly an airplane!

Here are Ally & Emily's feet. They are on the dragon ride. This thing flipped them around all over the place. There was no way I was going on it and Luke was really upset that he couldn't do it.
Same ride just a few seconds later they were face down... they loved it!

Jamie & Melanie and in the background is their dad, Dean.

At the end of a long, fun day!

Ally played percussion in the band this year at school. Here she is after her concert, cleaning up her department.

Luke was excited to help her. You can tell he's thinking about how much he wants to touch everything.
And of course he does!

Ally and her band teacher, Laura Filoso.

Lyla's curls are getting thicker! They are so fun!

Emily is such a good big sister! Reading a bedtime story to Lyla.

Carson & Luke in grandma's pool. I thought this picture was funny because they are color coordinated. Totally NOT planned but it's obvious Tracy & I shop at the same store.

Emily's fun dive...

Ally's disco dive....

Lyla is officially on the move...walking! It took her awhile, just like crawling but it really was a matter of one day she realized she could do it. She walked across the entire living room and never stopped.

She is very proud of herself!

Well.... I think that's enough for one post!!!! That's up to the end of May. We've already had a busy June but that will have to wait a little bit more.
